Fire Proof Your Kitchen

* Never leave a burner on unattended.

* Always turn pot handles in.

* Roll up your sleeves. Dangling cuffs can catch fire.

* Keep curtains and potholders away from stove.

* Watch out for electrical outlet overload.

* Keep your appliances clean. Built up grease can catch fire.

* Be sure your fire extinguisher is full, near the stove and works on grease fires.

* Test your smoke detector regularly. If cooking smoke sets it off, don't remove the batteries, if you must, replace them immediately after cooking.

These are very important things to keep in mind. I made a blunder keeping the pot handle pointing outwards once :|
