Safe Driving Tips During Rain And Icy

Driving is fun and it’s a freedom, when you know how to drive you can go anywhere, anytime you want. But driving carefully, safely and defensively is very important, we only have one life. I say defensively because there are lot of crazy people out there that they don’t care and don’t pay attention when driving that cause an accident. I want to share this because fall and winter are the time that the roads are nasty because of the rain and snow. I wonder how many people know about this but I just have a feeling to share this to my friends and readers. “NEVER DRIVE IN THE RAIN WITH YOUR CRUISE CONTROL ON” question why? We thought when we set our cruise control we are being cautious in maintaining a safe consistent speed in the rain. Exactly wrong or a mistake, the reason is, if the cruise control in on when your car begins to hydro-plane and your tire lose contact with the pavement because the road is wet then your car will accelerate to a higher rate of speed making you to take-off like an airplane. I received this email from a friend of mine and I so thankful for him, especially I am just a newly driver. It is very important thing to know and that is why I want to share this too.

To the parents that has teenager kids, to remind them to set the cruise control and drive safe speed but don’t forget to tell them that they can only use cruise control when the pavement is dry. Also this warning should be listed usually on the driver seat on the sun-visor “NEVER USE THE CRUISE CONTROL WHEN THE PAVEMENT IS WET OR-ICY”. I know some people know about this already but I just want to share to remind because sometimes we tend to forget, its better safe than sorry. Safety Driving During Heavily Rain

I just learned to drive here in the USA. I got my driver's license I think 2005 because in the Philippines we don't have a car to drive. The reason for this is I did not grow up to a wealthy family, but we just get by and we also have a public transportation that we can ride where ever we go. A friend of mine emailed me this the other night and I am thinking to share these tips or idea about how to achieve good vision while driving during rains heavily. It is also useful even driving at night. I decide to share this because during fall we usually have heavy rain. Most of the drivers including me would turn on high or fastest speed of the wipers during heavy downpour, yet the visibility in front of the windshield is still bad. This idea is new to me, you just need a sunglasses during this situation. The sunglasses will help your visibility in front of your windshield to see it perfectly clear as if there is no rain and you can see where the rain bounces off the road. Also this will eliminate the blindness from passing big trucks or semi trucks that spraying you. It is amazing how sunglasses work, you can still see the drops on the windshield, but not the sheet of rain falling. We just don't need sunglasses during sunny days also in rainy days and any model or style will work.

This is really a great idea to share and need to spread around so that every drivers will know. Driving safe is very important so that we will arrive our destination safe and sound. I just wonder how many people know about this. From now on don't forget your sunglasses to put on your car. You can use this every now and then.

Just Get Back From Our Vacation Out West

We left last Monday September 27, for our vacation out west. We just get back last night we are exhausted because of long drive and travel everyday but it is worth going there. I enjoy watching the Rockies, mountains, valley’s, beautiful trees, skies, clouds and everything. I was amazed of the different kind of rock formation, I really love nature. We also meet the relatives of my husband that we don’t often to see them because they live far west but this opportunity to visit them. And we did visit my friend also over there, it is a multi-purpose vacation so it really worth going there.

We went to Colorado in the Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak it was really a nice and great experience for me. We went to Utah to attend the church conference and meet some old friends. We visit some places like the Red Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Fairyland Canyon and many others. After Utah we went to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon, we have enjoyable time together with my hubby and my mother in-law. Love those time together and wonderful experience. I have also a chance to visit some part of the state that I never been there before. Like Texas, New Mexico. Oklahoma, Missouri, Nebraska it was really a great experience that I could never forget in my life.
