Health is our best wealth, when we have good health we can do anything we want to. There are ways that you can control your metabolism so that you can experience lasting weight loss. Your rate of metabolism is how many calories you burn over a period of time. There are two types of metabolism that can affect you. Our metabolic rate is how fast our body burns calories at rest, just doing our normal activities, including sleeping. This rate can be more important than the rate that you burn calories while exercising because you spend more time at rest. Resting metabolic rate is different for each person and can change over time in the same person. You may be this person or know the person who said they used to be able to eat anything and would never gain weight but as they got holder that changed. You want to get your body in shape so that it will burn more calories while you are doing your every day activities.

Some people ask you whats the secret the answer is there is no secret, in order to lose weight and keep it off, you have to burn more calories than eat. You can look at these processes separately and give yourself different weight loss options. A moderate walk every other day can shape up your body and increase your basal metabolism. In order to lose weight you must be disciplined. You have to want to make some changes.   • Check all fluids, including engine oil, power steering fluid, brake and transmission fluid. Well you are at it take the time to also check the windshield washer fluid and the antifreeze/coolant.
  • Check the hoses and belts that can become cracked, brittle, frayed, loose or show any signs of excessive wear. These are critical to the proper functioning of the electrical system, the air conditioning, the power steering and the coolant system.
  • Check the tires, including the tire pressure and tread depth. Uneven wear indicates a need for a wheel alignment. Tires should also be checked for bulges and bald spots.

The council also recommends that wipers, interior and exterior lighting on a vehicle be checked prior to your road trip. Also it is a good thing that motorists restock and bring along a emergency roadside kit. As a rule of thumb wipers should be changed every six months and all lighting check monthly.

To save fuel costs during a road trip, avoid aggressive driving. Observe the speed limits and avoid a lot of idling. Turn of the automobile when stopped. Gas caps that are damaged, loose or missing should be replaced to prevent gas from spilling or evaporating.
